On the morning of November 29, 2025, in Hanoi, the 7th GELEX Trade Union Congress (2025 – 2030 term) convened with 102 delegates representing more than 3,265 employees across the entire system. The Congress marked an important transition point, both concluding the previous term and setting the direction for a new phase marked by many changes.\/em>\/strong>\/p>\n
In its closing report, the GELEX Trade Union highlighted that during the 2023 – 2025 term, the organization successfully maintained workforce stability, safeguarded employee wellbeing, and ensured full compliance with social insurance, healthcare, and welfare policies across all units. Notably, no labor disputes occurred throughout the system. Employee care remained a strong focus, with various support programs for union members in hardship, initiatives for employees\u2019 children, and the consistent maintenance of workplace meal programs, upholding the principle that \u201cevery worker is cared for comprehensively.\u201d\/p>\n
The Congress acknowledged the strong support from GELEX\u2019s Executive Leadership, particularly CEO Nguy\u1ec5n V\u0103n Tu\u1ea5n. The leadership\u2019s continuous attention to labor-related matters has provided an essential foundation for the Trade Union to fulfill its mission, implement meaningful programs, and effectively represent employees in recent years.\/p>\n
Delegates also discussed perspectives from local units, reflecting the realities of corporate restructuring, changes in organizational models, and the presence of foreign-invested enterprises, which require the Trade Union to become more flexible in its operations to better protect workers\u2019 rights. These insights helped shape the orientation for the upcoming term.\/p>\n
In his remarks, Mr. L\u00ea Trung L\u00e2m – Chairman of the GELEX Trade Union for the 7th term, emphasized: \u201cLooking ahead to 2025 – 2030, the GELEX Trade Union will prioritize three core pillars: building a stronger and more unified trade union, ensuring all contract employees are union members; enhancing the capacity of union officers through professional training; and continually improving welfare and strengthening dialogue channels to safeguard workers\u2019 rights in a proactive, effective manner.\u201d\/p>\n
The Congress also conducted the election of the 7th Executive Committee through a secret ballot, ensuring transparency and democracy. The new Committee was introduced immediately at the Congress, ready to begin the new term with determination and a strong sense of responsibility.\/p>\n

Immediately after its introduction, the newly elected Executive Committee reaffirmed its commitment to leading the Trade Union\u2019s activities in accordance with Congress resolutions; meeting the increasingly high expectations of the Group; and working for the wellbeing and happiness of all workers, as well as the sustainable development and longevity of the enterprise.\/p>\n
The Congress concluded successfully, reaffirming that GELEX is not only an enterprise but a shared home, a place where workers are protected, supported, and accompanied. With full consensus from all delegates, the GELEX Trade Union is determined to continue building a humane, flexible, and forward-looking working environment suited to the realities of a modern and evolving corporate landscape.\/p>\n
