On May 30, 2026, GELEX concluded the workshop series “Leading and Building a Culture of Innovation” with a training session for more than 40 managers and leaders from Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Company (THIBIDI) and Vietnam Copper Wire Company (CFT) in Dong Nai./p>

This session marked the final activity in a series of programs implemented in a coordinated manner across the entire system. It represents an important step for GELEX in aligning management thinking, spreading core values, and building an innovation-driven culture from the Group level to sub-holdings and member companies./p>

Concluding the Workshop Series, Opening a New Management Mindset/p>

Under the leadership of Nguyễn Thị Minh Giang, the workshop was designed with a modern approach, combining theoretical foundations with practical, hands-on experiences./p>

Real-life case studies were not only used for illustration but also to stimulate thinking beyond conventional frameworks and challenge established patterns of thought./p>

/p>

The open learning atmosphere, together with active discussions and strong engagement from participants, demonstrated that this was no longer a traditional training session. Instead, it became a space for management teams to reflect on how the organization operates and how they themselves lead their teams on a daily basis./p>

/p>

At the program, Mr. Nguyễn Trọng Trung – General Director of GELEX Electricity Joint Stock Company – shared insights on the value of change. He highlighted the “success trap,” where experiences that once drove an organization’s growth in the past may become barriers if they are not updated in a changing context./p>

/p>

“Innovation does not necessarily start with big things; it begins with each individual daring to change their mindset and being willing to change old habits that are no longer relevant.” Nguyễn Trọng Trung – CEO, GELEX Electricity JSC/p>

At the workshop, topics on innovation and organizational transformation were approached through structured, science-based frameworks and methodologies./p>

Mr. Tôn Mạnh Dũng – Deputy CEO of GELEX Infrastructure Joint Stock Company – shared: “For me, the four leadership principles of change are highly practical. We can apply them immediately within our company. In fact, we had already been doing some of these practices before, but after this course, we were able to systematize them into a formal process.”/p>

Many participants noted that the greatest value of the program lies in shifting the management mindset from a control-oriented operating model to one that empowers employees to proactively participate in problem-solving./p>

Several managers also shared that they now have a clearer understanding of their responsibility in creating a more open, proactive, and experimental work environment, rather than focusing solely on control based on traditional management thinking./p>

/p>

Managers are the pioneering ‘core factors’ driving change. Therefore, equipping leadership teams with an innovative mindset is the key to spreading core values, building a creative working environment, and serving as a launchpad for sustainable development.”

– Mr. Đặng Phan Tường, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Company (THIBIDI)/p>

Innovation Starts with the Environment Created by leaders/p>

Prior to THIBIDI and CFT, the workshop series was first conducted for the Group Leadership Board on April 2, 2026, and subsequently expanded to various member companies, including GELEX Electric Joint Stock Company, GELEX Infrastructure Joint Stock Company, CADIVI Electrical Wire and Cable Joint Stock Company, EMIC Electrical Measuring Instrument Joint Stock Company, MEEPOWER, GELEX Electrical Equipment & Technology Joint Stock Company, and VIWASUPCO./p>

/p>

The organization-wide and synchronized implementation demonstrates that this is not a standalone training initiative, but a long-term development orientation of GELEX./p>

According to the Group’s strategy, innovation is no longer limited to technology or new products; it has become a core competitive capability for future enterprises. In a context of rapid market changes, continuous technological advancement, and increasingly volatile business models, sustainable growth cannot rely solely on financial resources or scale. Instead, it requires a workforce capable of adaptability, learning, and continuous innovation. This is also why GELEX has chosen to start by transforming leadership mindset and embedding a culture of innovation across the organization./p>

/p>

“A leader who wants an innovative team must first create a safe environment where people feel free to think differently and dare to experiment.”/p>

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Giang, Member of the Board of Directors, GELEX Group Joint Stock Company/p>

Innovation is defined by GELEX as one of its three core values. The implementation of synchronized training across the entire system not only enhances management capabilities and adaptability across member companies, but also reflects the Group’s direction of embedding an “innovation DNA” throughout the GELEX ecosystem. This is also how GELEX continues to live by and bring its core values into practice./p>

Innovation at GELEX is a Mandatory Requirement/p>

At a previous workshop for the Group Leadership Board, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Tuấn – Chairman of the Board of Directors of GELEX Group Joint Stock Company – emphasized that innovation is no longer an option, but a mandatory requirement for businesses in the current context. He stated: “The Group’s upcoming projects are large in scale and play an important role in the country’s development. The old ways of doing things must almost certainly change.”/p>

Based on this direction, GELEX is approaching innovation by building a culture of continuous learning, encouraging critical thinking, experimentation, and empowerment, rather than focusing only on isolated initiatives./p>

Innovation is defined as a capability that must exist in the mindset and operations of the entire system, not limited to a dedicated function or department./p>

/p>

“ Technology can be purchased, but innovation capability must be formed from culture.”

Mr. Nguyễn Văn Tuấn, Chairman of the Board of Directors, GELEX Group Joint Stock Company/p>

According to many management experts, this is also a trend pursued by major corporations globally, where people and corporate culture are increasingly becoming the core foundation of sustainable innovation capability./p>

In the context of Vietnam’s strong push for its national strategy on science, technology, and innovation, GELEX, along with other Vietnamese enterprises, needs to proactively engage in the global innovation movement in order to achieve sustainable growth./p>

/p>

For a company with long-term development ambitions like GELEX, investing in people, a learning culture, and creative capabilities is not only about improving business performance, but also a way to align with the broader goal of enhancing national competitiveness in the new era./p>

Concluding the workshop series, what remains is not only the knowledge gained from the training sessions, but also a renewed mindset among management teams across the entire system—ready to change, ready to learn, and ready to create better ways of working for the organization./p>

This also forms the foundation GELEX is steadily building toward a continuously innovative organization that is agile, adaptive, and capable of sustainable growth in the future./p>
